Boxes, boxes, boxes

As we enter the final year of Common Good First, the next big task for some of our South Africa partners is to launch their digital labs.  And for that, you need equipment.  Lots of it.

This was the scene at Nelson Mandela University’s Centre for Community Technologies a few weeks back when the first batch of kit arrived to be distributed to other universities – tablets, laptops, monitors, speakers, cameras, tripods, microphones, secure storage cases.  So many boxes, in fact, that the team could barely get to their desks.

The labs will all launch by May at Rhodes, University of the Free State and University of the Western Cape, alongside the one which was opened at NMU in Port Elizabeth last October.  Stay tuned for more pictures when they go live!
